Sherie Forrester graduated from Seneca College with a diploma in fashion arts and design. She worked in her field for seven years when she decided to leave her profession and become a stay at home mother and homeschooled her four children. For the past 11 years, on the weekends, Sherie works as a professional clown and face painter. In addition, Sherie became a volunteer at Art With A Heart, and eventually an assistant facilitator, and continues to facilitate with the charity Art With A Heart for over 3 years. Here She works alongside many groups of people including seniors, youth at risk, women and children in shelters, and autistic children using the arts in a therapeutic way to build community, and help people work through issues in their lives through expression. In 2013, Sherie graduated from Durham College as Personal Support Worker (PSW). As a PSW one is trained in many skills such as standard first aid, food and safety, and gentle persuasive approaches in dementia. Later in 2015, Sherie completed a course in dealing with Trauma through the arts with Create Institute. Above all, Sherie enjoys sewing and sharing her talents with other people.
